Well, I am sorry that I have not kept you updated on our arrival back home. We made it safely mid March and had LOADS of fun. We left on the 20th heading back to TN. WE have finally gotten most of our things unpacked. I have been doing Facebook.com updates because I can cover so many friends there, quickly and easily.
When we first got home we just tried to find the floor among the boxes and clothes. When we left we were just beginning to put up the summer clothes and get out the winter clothes. Well, we needed many of the summer clothes in Al during the winter, so many of the had to be unpacked and the winter clothes that we had gotten out needed to be put somewhere. It was a MESS when we got home b/c we came home with loads of boxes and clothes everywhere in the house. It is about to get back to order again. Well as orderly as you can be with 7 people in the house.
We are excited to be home, yet still miss our AL friends very much. Here we only get together with friends about twice a week because of the distance, but in AL we were with someone everyday. It is different, but it looks like we will be here for a while. It is NICE to be home! We are enjoying the freedom to let the kids play outside with little supervision, unlike in the apartment where they had to be supervised every moment. I am definitely relaxed now! It seemed like I was always watching someone outside and didn't accomplish a lot while there (as far as school). BUT with that being said...we had the ultimate field trip for 5 months. It was great and we really do look forward to traveling again with another project like this one, just not right now! haha
I have been greatly convicted while we were in AL to make my life count even more for Christ and to make sure that my children are so well grounded in the Word of God. Jimmy, Anna and I are reading thru the Bible this year as one of our goals. I think we are all behind at this point, probably me more than them but I will be catching up soon.
We started our school schedule back today. We will have to do double work for while to catch up and finish these books, but the kids are excited about starting back for the routine of having something to do. They really do like it. WE have ordered the remainder of DVDs we need for Math and will be starting that regularly too. They really like it.
March 2nd, we celebrated 8 years with Kirk in our life. How amazing it is to see him enjoying life and realizing that we almost lost him. Also last week we celebrated Abigail's 10th birthday. How did they grow so fast when I WAS watching every moment of it! It is amazing to me how time goes so fast.
Well enough about that......I will be back soon to update some more and post some photos for the family while in AL.
Life if full and fun and we love it that way. Giving thanks and glory to God for all that we are and all that we have! I am SO blessed!
