Another Trial

My Mom had a car accident Nov 19th and broke multiple ribs, both bones in her ankle and fractured a vertebrate in her back.  She was one huge bruise from her neck down.  She still has some bruising from deep tissue damage from the seat belt.  She had surgery on her ankle to repair the break with a plate and screws. We have been with her as much as possible as she hasn't been able to be by herself since the accident.  I am amazed at her daily progress.  She should be able to begin walking on Monday!  Appreciate your prayers for her progress and that pain with physical therapy is minimal as she begins to walk again.

Also, we found out that I was expecting a baby and was due on Daddy's birthday (Aug 8th).  I had been having some issues with the pregnancy and knew it wasn't going to be an easy one, but thought with rest, we might possibly manage a healthy baby.  We told the kids and Momma on Monday night the 7th and I lost the baby Tues morning the 8th.  We were devastated.  I would appreciate your prayers for our children.  They were all very excited to think we might have another baby.  They were up very late talking about the possibility and asking questions Monday night only to be disappointed Wed when it was confirmed.

We are now catching up on schoolwork as we have been home for a week for me to rest and recover from the miscarriage.  WOW!  Lots to get done over the next few months as I will have a high school student again when we begin in August. :)
