YES! Believe it or not, we are still sick. Thankfully Kirk is better, no fever for 2 days now. Jimmy and I came down with a fever Monday under 102, but fever with Mom and Dad is really no fun especially when you have 5 sick kids. We have managed pretty well. Several people from church have brought us soup, Kleenex, Gatorade, popsicles, 7Up and other items we needed! They have been so precious to us.
An update on everyone today -
Jimmy still had a mild fever tonight and still isn't feeling well.
I am still coughing to the point of almost vomiting.
Anna had a slight fever today, and is still coughing horribly.
Molly and Abigail are pretty much well, except for a cough when they play too hard.
Kirk is doing fabulous and is so ready to go outside and play, but I am reluctant b/c of the pneumonia. I still think he needs a few more days to rest, at least until he is done with the antibiotics...next week. His hearing hasn't fully come back but it is better than Sunday.
Rebecca thinks she is doing well and wants to go out and play. Her right eye looks horrible, bloodshot and draining (very gross). I was amazed that she could make it to the bathroom this morning and find a washcloth without help to clean her eyes.
So that is everyone at this point. I am so tired of coughing it just plain hurts all over to cough and I know the kids feel the same way. It is like it come on in bursts and you feel like you will either pass out or vomit before you stop.
Please pray for us that healing continues and we are on our road to recovery.
It looks like even though we may be allergic to AL, we may very well be here into March. there is something that is going on and will be 8 weeks before it is delivered for install on this project that jimmy is down here for. The kids were NOT happy about that, and honestly....I am just not sure how I feel about it either. We came down here for a 6-8 week commitment and it has turned into 6 months. WOW! I am trying to embrace this journey b/c this is what Jimmy wants for us, but I am struggling, just pray that I would have the right attitude about everything. It doesn't help being sick for the last 8 weeks! AND having all the kids begging me to pack up and go home!
Better just take a nap. I had two crying today wanting to go home...and I feel like I have the flu, not a good combo! haha
